Leah Hoskins, F.I.L.M. Project Founder, Headed to Jail?

HELP! I AM HEADED TO JAIL!!!!

Most of us have lost someone close to us at some point in our life. A friend, grandfather, aunt, sister, brother, mother, father, husband, wife, son or daughter. God’s bigger plan can still leave us in more pain than we could ever imagine.

What do we have left of these loved ones? What did you turn to for healing?

Pictures. Images. Portraits of that loved one. Images together.

The FILM Project’s mission is to make sure every family, who has a loved one facing a life-limiting illness, has the opportunity to receive beautiful family portraits. Images of their loved ones who are leaving them to go home to Jesus! A gift they will cherish forever! A priceless gift that will help heal and give hope to a family in the darkest time. FILM is making this possible for hundreds of families across the country.

What better way to give back, then to donate $10 to help support an organization providing families with the greatest gift on earth!

THE SHORT VERSION OF THE STORY

I need your help!

I am being arrested tomorrow morning, at 9am, and taken to Grant County Jail, where I wont be released until we have raised enough money to make my $25,000 bail! Bail for The FILM Project’s 2nd annual Jail and Bail Fundraiser that is.

So, I am trying to get a head start on raising funds. I have personally pledged to raise $1000 of the $25,000 needed total to meet bail! This is a ton of money, so I need your help if I am going to get out this decade! $10 is all I am asking. Easy! Click the link below to help start the healing in a special FILM family’s life. Thank you for supporting The FILM Project!

THE LONG VERSION OF THE STORY

If you aren’t convinced to help yet, I promise you will be after reading this.

—–Who is FILM—–

Founded in January 2011 by Leah Hoskins, The FILM Project continues? Provides free family portraits for Cancer patients and their families. FILM’s focus is to help capture the most special of memories for these patients and others with life-limiting illnesses, creating artwork and moments to remember family loved ones forever. FILM is able to provide these free sessions nationwide through their network of professional photographers that they recruit throughout the year. They’re professional photographers believe by sharing their gifts of portraiture they can inspire healing and create very special lasting memories for the families during their most fragile times. For more information about The FILM Project in general please visit http://www.thefilmproject.net/.

—–Who are FILM Families—–

Those who have not experienced the loss of a close loved one, have a hard time even beginning to imagine what our FILM Families have been through, and we pray they will never have to face a moment of this unimaginable fate. However, for those who have had the unfortunate experience of loosing a loved one, these feeling are known all to well.

The strength and determination FILM Families radiate is intoxicating, and you can’t help but to cherish every lasting moment with each and every one of them. FILM Photographers and FILM Families have a very special bond from the time they first speak. The Photographer is being invited in, to be apart of the families most intimate final moments. The families are trusting in their photographer, with not only their precious images, but their memories. Families often reach out to our photographers, and open up as if they are close friends. The gift that the FILM photographer provides to their families, is one of the greatest gifts they will every receive. It is a gift that solidifies this lasting bond between them, both cherishing the experience and images forever.

FILM has helped a variety of families. From the Family of a 6 year little girl, in her final days. To the grandmother fighting to see her 50th wedding anniversary. The mother of 3 who knows her time is limited. A Son, who’s final wish is to make sure his family has beautiful portraits to help them heal, and help them hold on to the memories forever. I could go on and on, but who better to tell their story then the families themselves. These videos will change your life.

—–What is a Jail and Bail—–

On June 20th at 9am, I (Leah Hoskins, Founder and President of The FILM Project,) will be arrested and locked up and held behind bars until $25,000 in bail has been posted. There are lots of creative ways to raise funds for a non-profit like ours, but “Jail and Bail” has been one of our most fun and seems to really get everybody involved! We’re counting on our 600 members to come through and make sure I don’t grow too old waiting for a release date! I am busy getting ready for a hopefully short stay in the county jail and was hoping to get a jump-start on raising some funds. This will surely lesson my anxiety about the possibility of me remaining behind bars for weeks. Throughout the day and hopefully NOT days, I will keep everyone posted with updates and pictures from my jail cell via Facebook and Twitter. You don’t want to miss this fun!

—–SIMPLE?—–

YES!!!!! If I can get 100 of my friends (meaning you,)
1. To skip a lunch out, OR forfeit a couple Starbucks trips and substitute with McDonald’s Cafe (YUCK,)
2. Then donate what they would have spent (about $10)
I can reach my personal goal in no time!

If you think about it, $10 really isn’t a ton of money, even for us broke folk. You could spend this at the convenience store in one trip! No lie. Cut down on your car usage for 5 minutes and you could save $10 in gas even See SIMPLE!

To donate towards my personal goal to raise $1000 towards the BIG 25k click the link below or go here: http://fundly.com/leahhoskins

If you don’t like me and just want to help FILM and donate towards the BIG 25k goal then go here: http://fundly.com/s/filmjailandbail

If you want to help raise funds with me, towards our BIG 25k goal visit http://fundly.com/filmjailandbail and click the join button.

Please help save me from gross sleeping cots and nasty jail food!!!!

Thanks for your support!

—–Are you a Photographer or current FILM Photographer?—–

When I am arrested and put behind bars, I cant leave until $25,000 is raised!

I am counting on the 600 FILM photographers and their photographer friends to help me to raise the majority of these funds! 25k is a lot of money to raise in 24 hours! I say 24 hours because this is my goal release time. However, I am willing to stay for as long as it takes.

To add to the excitement and give photographer incentive to help out, FILM has partnered with a few of our favorite companies, who have provided prizes for our photographers. Photographers will have the opportunity to win these prizes throughout the day by giving it their all. The Photographer who raises the most will win FILM Grand Prize Package. Some prizes are valued at as much as $500! For more on what you can win, visit http://familyimagesforlastingmemories.wordpress.com/2012/06/18/jail-and-bail-photographers-prizes/
